History
The sport flag football is originated in the U.S. military during world war II, because the soldiers wanted to play a game of American football but couldn’t get injured.

A game of Flag-a-Tag is almost the same as a game of American football, but in a game of flag football there is no violence. The take down is replaced with a string that the opponent have to pull out. You get a flag-a-tag belt with on that belt 2 strings that the opponents can pull out. A game of flag football is played mostly by kids and older adults that don't want to be injured.
Differences between flag football and tackle football
In flag football it is illegal to pass the ball from player to player from a line of defence. In tackle football a defensive move that is called a stiff arm is illegal to use in flag football because it includes physical contact. It also is not allowed to dive in a game of flag football and to use the bump and run coverage. It's also not allowed to do fumbling in a game of flag football because this moves contains physical contact and that is not allowed in a game of flag football.
Flag football equipment
In a game of flag football the players use a flag football belt, cleats, mouthguard, football gloves, flag football flags and an helmet. The helmet is not necessary. The helmet in a game of flag football is made of soft padding and in a game of tackle football the inside is made of padding put the outside is made of hard plastic. An American football player has more protective equipment like a shoulderpad.
Positions
The offense flag football positions are: quarterback, wide receiver, center and running back.
The defence flag football positions are: free safety, strong safety, defensive back, line backer, nose guard, defensive tackles and defensive ends.
